Do you have experience managing EHS systems and processes in high-risk industries like petrochemicals or industrial gases? Can you ensure the success and safety of a major construction project?

We are looking for a Construction EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Supervisor to lead and implement safety initiatives, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a strong safety culture on-site for major industrial construction projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Provide EHS leadership and support to the project site team to achieve safety objectives.
- Implement and facilitate the project's EHS Management System.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits to ensure site safety and compliance.
- Deliver EHS training and coaching to project personnel and contractors.
- Collaborate with contractors to establish and implement effective EHS plans.
- Investigate incidents and facilitate root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Promote safety awareness and behaviour through effective communication and leadership.
- Actively participate in project EHS leadership meetings and provide regular updates on safety performance.
- Support emergency preparedness efforts and risk management processes on-site.
- Monitor and track site performances, actions, and case management for injuries and illnesses.
Requirements Construction ESH Supervisor
- Proven experience in EHS supervision, particularly on large industrial or capital construction projects.
- Formal EHS qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, Dutch MVK) and relevant technical experience.
- Strong knowledge of EHS management systems and industrial site hazards in the petrochemical or gas industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (Dutch preferred).
- Experience in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in understanding P&IDs, single-line drawings, and systems like LOTO, PTW, and SIMOPS.
- Familiarity with OSHA, Dutch Arbo-law, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage ambiguity, and collaborate across all levels of the project organisation.
- Passion for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance in a high-risk environment.
