We are looking for a Project Inspection Coordinator to oversee inspection activities for critical equipment packages on FPSO projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with contractual standards while coordinating with vendors, inspectors and internal teams to achieve timely and successful delivery.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for critical equipment packages such as large mechanical and rotating packages or modular skid fabrications.
  • Ensure vendor quality and inspection steps comply with contractual requirements and specifications throughout the order execution.
  • Coordinate and guide third-party inspection agencies to ensure timely and compliant inspection activities.
  • Attend Kick-Off and Pre-Inspection meetings and oversee key inspection milestones at vendor premises.
  • Review and approve ITP vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Generate and maintain Vendor Inspection Plans (VIP) in the designated project system.
  • Identify and address key issues from inspection visits, escalating them to Package Managers and Project Procurement Managers as necessary.
  • Oversee third-party and class inspection requirements, ensuring they are completed before Inspection Release Certificates are issued.
  • Evaluate and coordinate technically competent field inspection personnel to ensure adherence to project procedures.
  • Review and process inspection reports, including Non-Conformance Reports, Inspection Release Notes, and Punch Lists/Outstanding Work Lists.
  • Participate in the setup of inspection levels, maintain the Inspection Matrix, and log inspection data.
  • Liaise with engineering, construction teams, clients, and certifying authorities during inspections and testing (e.g., FAT).
  • Coordinate inspection attendance during fabrication, testing, and pre-shipment stages.
  • Monitor HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) issues during inspections and take appropriate action.

Requirements Project Inspection Coordinator

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commercial Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in inspection coordination roles.
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry quality standards and inspection test requirements for complex equipment.
  • Experience handling commodities such as valves, piping, E&I systems, and mechanical packages is a plus!
  • Field inspector experience is a bonus.
  • Certifications such as NACE, NDT, or ComEX (EX) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of quality documentation, including ITPs, FAT procedures, technical specifications, and quality assurance plans.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with leadership skills and proactive behaviour.
  • Flexible and adaptable to operational changes.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be willing to travel to vendor inspections and site support when required.
